“Munich electrifies -Me

Project content

With the aim of achieving climate neutrality for the entire city area by 2035, the City of Munich is committed to the expansion of electromobility, among other things.

With the joint project “Munich Electrified -Me“, two areas of charging infrastructure expansion are also being promoted and scientifically supported for the city of Munich. On the one hand, the project aims to set up charging points on private land in the city of Munich and the neighboring districts of Dachau, Fürstenfeldbruck and Munich with the “Charging in Munich” funding program and, on the other hand, to create public charging infrastructure on municipal land by private providers. The focus of the accompanying scientific research is on analyzing the current situation in the city of Munich and the three neighboring selected districts with regard to demand and the existing charging infrastructure as well as investigating the network repercussions of different charging options. In addition, mobility analyses will be used to develop a model-based procedure for determining optimal charging infrastructure solutions.

In addition to the City of Munich, the Forschungsstelle für Energiewirtschaft e.V. and the Technical University of Munich with its chairs of automotive engineering and traffic engineering are also involved in the project. The Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria (Handwerkskammer für München und Oberbayern / HWK) and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria (Industrie- und Handelskammer für München und Oberbayern / IHK) are also supporting the project as associated partners. aconium is supporting the consortium as an external project partner until 30.09.2022.

Goals

The aim of the project is to increase emission-free mobility within urban society. In addition, other municipalities should also be made aware of the transport transition towards e-mobility.
