As part of the “Transformation of District Heating” conference, district heating experts from all over Europe will come together virtually on December 9, 2020 to discuss the potential and current challenges of low-temperature networks.

The online conference, which is also the final event and presentation of the results of the Interreg project “Low Temperature District Heating for the Baltic Sea Region – LowTEMP”, offers a unique platform for the exchange of experience across Europe. It brings together experts from the field of efficient local and district heating systems in virtual space. In the morning, Gabriele Pesce from Euroheat & Power will take a European look at the future of district heating systems. Afterwards, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ingo Weidlich will highlight the potential and challenges of implementing low-temperature networks in Germany in his keynote speech. In the afternoon, the LowTEMP pilot projects and various strategies for the future design of the heat supply in the Baltic Sea region will be presented. The online conference is aimed at district heating experts as well as interested parties from science and research, association representatives, municipalities, politics, industry and the private sector.
