Together with its partners from small and medium-sized businesses and scientific institutions aconium presented the project BIC-IRAP (Business Indoor Coverage – Integrated Radio Access Points) at the world´s biggest mobile industry event, the Mobile World Congress. BIC-IRAP is a cooperation network with 10 partners, supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy through the Central Innovations Programme for SMEs. As a network manager aconium is responsible for guiding the partners from business and the scientific institutions through the different phases of conceptual and practical project work. The network aims at developing an efficient solution for providing mobile internet and voice communication in semi-public buildings. The consortium focuses on innovative solutions by means of combined WLAN and LTE-Small Cells. You can find more detailed information on the website of the project.

The Mobile World Congress was an ideal platform for BIC-IRAP for introducing the underlying new business model of Mobile Internet Service Providers (MISPs) to the market, establishing new partnerships and gaining an insight on the state of the art in the dialogue with potential suppliers of network components.

The positive response to the ideas and aims of BIC-IRAP strengthened the cooperation network on its way to implement the innovative development project.
