The European Commission seeks best practice examples of broadband deployment from all over Europe. Applicants can be public or private organizations.
By the time the application is submitted at least 80 % of the project needs to be completed. The projects will be assessed by a jury in the following categories:
- “innovative models of financing, business and investment”
- “cost reduction and co-investment”
- “socio-economic impact and affordability”
- “openness and competition” and
- “future-proof and quality of service”
Winners will be awarded by Günther Oettinger, Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society during the event “B-DAY: Going Giga” on 14 November in Brussels.
