The kick-off event for the Meißen district’s digitalization strategy took place in Großenhain in March. aconium GmbH and Daten-Kompetenzzentrum Städte und Regionen DKSR GmbH have been tasked with implementing the development process.
Meißen is one of thirteen districts that are being funded as part of the “Smarte.Land.Regionen” model project of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). The creation of a digitalization strategy will be the starting point for the intelligent, sustainable and digital development of the region.
The focus is on identifying digital needs, potential and fields of action in conjunction with feasible and effective measures in the region. A wide range of individual projects and impulse projects are to be coordinated with one another to create a structured roadmap for the digital transformation of the entire district. This will build on existing municipal and overarching concepts. The integrated planning and implementation process serves as a holistic basis for successful digitalization in the region.
In addition to aconium GmbH and the DKSR, representatives from the Meißen district development office, Wirtschaftsförderung Region Meißen GmbH (WRM) and the Office for Information Technology and Digitization took part in the kick-off event.
