aconium GmbH is delighted about a particular success for the city of Schwabach, which we also supported in the TwinBy project alongside Neunburg vorm Wald. The city’s digital twin “GUZI – Golden Urban Twin Information Schwabach” was nominated for the nationwide “Blue Compass” award, the highest state award in Germany for climate adaptation measures. The aim of the competition is to highlight innovative, effective and sustainable solutions for dealing with the consequences of climate change.

A jury of experts from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, the Federal Environment Agency, local authority associations and representatives from business and research will select one winner per category from the 20 nominated projects on June 24, 2024. The nominees can also receive an audience award. From May 28, the public will be able to vote online via the Competence Center for Climate Impacts and Adaptation’s “Tatenbank” to see which project wins them over. Voting runs until June 18. Support Schwabach and vote for the “Digital twin as a tool for climate adaptation measures” project!

You can find out more about the TwinBy project implementation in Schwabach in one of our next newsletter issues.
