ANGA COM will take place in Cologne from May 23 to 25. This year, aconium GmbH, ANGA COM and VATM (Association of Telecommunications and Value-Added Service Providers) are working together particularly intensively to offer municipal representatives special added value, especially on Thursday, May 25. This third day of the trade fair is dedicated specifically to the topic of fiber optics & municipalities.

Tim Brauckmüller, Managing Director of aconium, will take part in a panel discussion at 10:00 a.m. on the theme day to share important information and insights with trade fair guests together with representatives from business and politics in the panel “Update Gigabit Strategy: Promotion, Installation Methods and Resilience”. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Andrea Huber, Managing Director, ANGA Der Breitbandverband e.V.

We recommend that all visitors attend the aconium panel “Broadband Forum for Municipalities” on May 25 at 2:30 pm. Under the title “Investors, operator models, wholesale only – which strategy is the right one?”, we and selected experts will give visitors practical tips for their expansion projects and plans. Participants will include Klaus Schedlbauer, Plant Manager and Economic Advisor for Digital Infrastructure in the District of Cham, Paul Kempf, Managing Director of Zweckverband Breitbandversorgung Landkreis Lörrach, Christoph Meurer, Managing Director, Meridiam Glasfaser GmbH & Co KG and Ralf Gresselmeyer, CEO, glasfaserplus.

The panel will provide municipalities with practical information and show how subsidized and self-funded expansion work together. As part of an exciting dialog, concrete solutions and options for action will be presented to municipal representatives. All trade fair guests can attend the event free of charge.

In addition to discussions with our experts, trade fair visitors can also attend our free workshops. These will take place on May 24 and 25 in Room E, Congress Centrum Nord on the 2nd floor. Relevant topics such as “The most important aspects of the new Gigabit 2.0 directive” for funding recipients, “Market exploration procedures” for telecommunications companies and “Proof of use for gray-spot funding” will be discussed in a practical manner.
