Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is traveling to North Macedonia and Albania from November 29 to December 2. The Federal President will be accompanied by a selected business delegation, including Tim Brauckmüller, Managing Director of aconium.
When it comes to resilient infrastructures, fibre optic expansion or general digitalization issues, aconium Managing Director Tim Brauckmüller acts as an expert advisor to the public sector. In the last week of November, he accompanied German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on a trip through two Western Balkan states as part of a delegation of selected German business representatives.
Tim Brauckmüller: “I am looking forward to accompanying and supporting the progress of digitalization in North Macedonia and Albania.”
It was only in October of this year that aconium opened a new branch in Tirana, the capital of Albania. As part of the opening ceremony, aconium Managing Director Tim Brauckmüller welcomed guests on site, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, Belinda Balluku, Elisa Spiropali, Minister for Relations with Parliament, Members of Parliament Toni Gogu and Eduard Shalsi, as well as the German Ambassador to Albania, Peter Zingraf, and other heads of unit and department and representatives of German and European institutions.
The aim of the visit is, among other things, to acknowledge the reform course taken by both countries in the course of the EU accession negotiations and to explore possibilities for expanding and deepening economic exchange.
The trip will also focus on the situation in the region and in particular the effects of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.
In addition to talks with the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, and the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, the program includes a visit to the first wind farm in the Western Balkans.
