The digital event series Regional Forum kicked off with the topic “Targeted infrastructure development: Mobile radio coverage and measurement on September 21, 2022.

Mobile communications are an essential element of the digital infrastructure. But what potential does it offer? How can the potential of future-oriented mobile communications technology be exploited and ensure nationwide coverage in regions?

Jannis Haack, Head of the aconium regional office in Stuttgart, welcomes interested participants to the first workshop.

You will learn the basics of mobile radio technology and its future-oriented application possibilities and, together with Gesbro GmbH, gain an insight into the practice of mobile radio coverage and measurement as well as possibilities for increasing the degree of coverage in public areas.

The presentation of selected funding programs shows that there are numerous projects in the field of mobile communications, but the challenge lies in identifying the appropriate funding program. In line with the needs of the municipal representatives, the federal funding programme for mobile communications and the guideline for the promotion of innovative network technologies in mobile communications (InnoNT) are therefore presented and possibilities for the next steps for the implementation of the projects are shown.

The next Regional Forum will take place in October 2022 on the topic of “Smart regions: Shaping tomorrow’s rural regions today”. Registration is already possible via the following link
