Denklabor Co:Lab e.V. invited members, interested parties and experts to join in the discussion and dedicate an evening to digitalization and sustainability.

When the focus is on ideas and approaches for a successful and, above all, sustainable digital transformation, a lively exchange is inevitable – especially when players from politics, business and science come together in think tank style. This was the occasion of the political summer reception of Co:Lab e.V. on September 6, 2022. aconium was the main sponsor/host of the event, which took place in the historic premises of the aconium Academy in the north of Berlin. As a thinking lab & collaboration platform, Co:Lab e.V. regularly brings together business, politics, science and civil society to discuss ideas and paths for a sustainable digital transformation. The halls of the academy were already filling up in the late afternoon – Marc Groß and Alexander Handschuh from Co:Lab officially kicked off the evening, followed by a few introductory words from the Managing Director of aconium GmbH, Tim Brauckmüller. He emphasized the role and motivation of aconium GmbH in the digital transformation since the company was founded. Helping to shape the digital transformation is not only a matter close to aconium GmbH’s heart, but also means freedom and a future for everyone. Co:Lab Managing Director and moderator Anika Krellmann provided the professional impetus and content-related guidance for the evening, passing the baton for the political part of the evening to Saskia Esken, SPD party chairwoman and member of the Bundestag (MdB). She emphasized the importance of events and initiatives such as the Co:Lab, which build bridges between all participants in order to strengthen innovation, ideas and participation. This was followed by a lively panel discussion with the participation of MP Anke Domscheit-Berg (Die Linke), MP Maximilian Funke-Kaiser (FDP), MP Dr. Carolin Wagner (SPD), MP Nicolas Zippelius (CDU/CSU), Chief Digital Officer (CDO) Sabine Griebsch of the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld and Timo Graf von Koenigsmarck from Capgemini. The discussion focused on the recently published digital strategy of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, the federal government’s gigabit strategy and the topics of digitalization & sustainability, digital education and digital sovereignty. The guests and organizers ended the evening with a barbecue in the garden of the aconium Academy, between the innovation rooms of the Stellwerk and the preserved fragments of the Berlin Wall.
