An app for neighborhood assistance, a digital meeting place for pastoral care or tandem partnerships for the first steps with the smartphone: digital engagement has many facets. To recognize this, the “Digital for All” initiative is awarding the “Prize for Digital Cooperation” for the third time on the occasion of Digital Day. The “Digital Participation” category recognizes projects that help to ensure that all social groups can benefit from digital change and participate in digital developments. The “Digital Engagement” category honors projects and initiatives that use digital technologies to promote social engagement. The awards in both categories, each endowed with 10,000 euros, are once again sponsored by aconium GmbH.
Prizes in two categories
The “Digital Participation” category recognizes projects that help everyone benefit from the digital transformation and participate in the digital world. We are looking for initiatives and projects that take people out of the digital shadows and empower them to navigate the digital world with confidence and self-determination. The “Digital Engagement” category recognizes new forms of engagement in the digital space. We are looking for projects that use digital technologies in innovative ways to improve and expand civic engagement or open up completely new ways of engagement with the help of digital technologies. Applications can be submitted online at https://digitaltag.eu/preis-fuer-digitales-miteinander/bewerbung. The deadline for competition entries is Easter Monday, April 18, 2022, and the award-winning projects will once again be decided by a top-class jury.
Background
The annual day of action is backed by the “Digital for All” initiative, a broad alliance of 28 organizations from civil society, culture, science, business, welfare and the public sector.
