The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) has published a new short report on broadband availability in Germany. The report is based on the data available at the end of 2018 and on voluntary information from broadband providers throughout Germany. For the first time, bandwidths in the classes ≥ 200 Mbit/s, ≥ 400 Mbit/s and ≥ 1000 Mbit/s are also shown in the so-called Breitbandatlas as part of the survey. A detailed report on the Breitbandatlas will soon be published on the BMVI website. The survey was commissioned by the BMVI and carried out by aconium GmbH. The Breitbandatlas and the current summary report are available at www.breitbandatlas.de.
