From 24 October, aconium GmbH will be inviting stakeholders and experts on the topic of digitalization to aconium GmbH Hall 23A for three days under the motto “Digital Regions – Today and Tomorrow” as part of the Broadband World Forum 2017 at  Berlin ExpoCenter City.

Together with companies from the broadband and digital sector, relevant opinion leaders from municipalities, special-purpose associations and districts as well as public institutions and state representatives, questions and answers on the topic of digitalization will be discussed.

The three-day event is designed as a combination of trade fair and congress. In addition to numerous exhibitors from sectors such as telecommunications, civil engineering, digital services, consulting and logistics, there will be an extensive conference programme with decision-makers and renowned experts. Rainer Bomba, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, will be one of the keynote speakers at the opening on Tuesday. The core topics of the congress are education, mobility, smart regions, the DigiNetz Act, the broadband seal of approval and digitalization in rural regions and cities. Initiative D21 will hold its autumn conference at the congress on Wednesday under the title “Digital Transformation of Cities – Change, Consequences and Opportunities” and Thursday will be dedicated to the federal funding programme for broadband expansion.

“Digital Regions – Today and Tomorrow” is a forum for discussion and cross-industry exchange. Technologies and applications will be presented on site in a tangible and understandable way – challenges, ideas and strategies for dealing with the digital future will be discussed.

Registration for the trade fair and congress is free of charge and also grants free access to the exhibition area of the Broadband World Forum.

The event pages contain extensive information on the exhibitors and on the Governmental Workshop, which is also organized by aconium GmbH and takes place on Tuesday morning in the adjacent hall.
