AI Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our AI team. This role is central to building Document AI (DAI) as an agentic document processing tool—your primary goal in Phase 1: to develop the first domain-specific RAG chatbot with agents and deploy it in a production-ready environment.
For our growing AI team, we’re looking for a hands-on person with real-world experience: You’ve already integrated LLM APIs, built APIs with FastAPI, and know how to deliver features quickly. You’ll be working directly on a real-world GovTech product—agent-based RAG chatbots, MCP integration, and workflow automation are your core areas of focus.

Your Responsibilities
- Development and Deployment of Machine Learning and AI Models
- Building Scalable Data and Model Pipelines
- Working with modern LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, open-source models such as gpt-oss and mistral)
- Further Development of the RAG Chatbot
- Optimizing Models for Performance and Scalability
- Integration of AI Solutions into Existing Systems and Products
- Collaboration in Cross-Functional Teams
Your Profile
- Experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Data Scientist
- Strong knowledge of Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Experience with LLMs / Generative AI
- Knowledge of MLOps
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and production systems
- Problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
- Fluent in English and German (required)
