Attorney/Business Lawyer specializing in general administrative law and/or public economic law (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility:
- Independent handling of challenging cases involving issues related to, among other things, EU state aid law, federal budget law, federal grant law, regulatory law (in particular the Telecommunications Act), public commercial law, municipal law, and general and special administrative law
- Drafting memos, decision papers, and expert opinions, as well as contributing to the preparation of (interdisciplinary) studies and analyses
- Legal preparation, support, and coordination of meetings with federal or state ministries, local governments, or industry associations
- Independently and autonomously reviewing and processing appeals against administrative acts of aconium GmbH in its capacity as the designated project operator, as well as providing support in legal proceedings for or against aconium GmbH, including communication with external legal counsel
- Independently conducting training sessions and/or presentations, as well as assisting management and the faculty with legal issues in the field of public economic law (particularly the Telecommunications Act and state aid law) and general administrative, budgetary, and grant law
Your Profile:
- A degree in law or business law (full-fledged lawyer or business law graduate) with a focus, for example, on public economic law, European law, or regulatory law, ideally with professional experience in a company as well as in the aforementioned areas of law
- (Professional) experience and knowledge in providing legal and/or technical support for grant application processes are a plus
- Entrepreneurial and business-oriented thinking, as well as a willingness to familiarize oneself with complex, interdisciplinary issues and less familiar areas of law
- A strategic and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to provide pragmatic risk assessments and proposed solutions
- A strong team spirit and a high level of social and communication skills, combined with the ability to work independently
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an intuitive understanding of how to handle potentially conflict-prone situations, as well as a willingness to act as a mediator in such cases
- Excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
