The portal contains the following modules:

• Good examples: Collection of smart projects and solutions from Saxon municipalities and neighboring regions for inspiration and networking
• Potential check: Digital questionnaire to determine the digital maturity level of a municipality with further assistance and suggestions, divided into the areas of “administrative digitization” and “smart regions”. Developed in collaboration with the Saxon Association of Towns and Municipalities.
• Funding finder: curated selection of current relevant funding programmes for Saxon municipalities and municipal stakeholders
• Knowledge navigator: Collection of helpful resources (websites, tools, publications, etc.) on the topic of smart cities and regions

Goals

The aim of the “Smart Regions Saxony” portal is to promote knowledge about and the use of innovative and digital solutions for overcoming regional challenges in Saxony. The portal is intended to offer municipal stakeholders in Saxony a practice-oriented introduction to the topic of smart regions and show them concrete options for action.
