QA Engineer (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a QA Engineer (m/f/d) for our Berlin office. This is generally a full-time position (40 hours per week).

We invite you to actively shape innovation and digitalization and to grow together with us! What are you waiting for?

Your area of responsibility:

  • Quality Assurance: You ensure the quality of our web applications by analyzing requirements, defining acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team, and developing appropriate test strategies.
  • Test Planning: You create structured test plans and test cases and ensure that functional requirements are verified completely and transparently.
  • Manual Testing: You will perform manual, exploratory, and functional end-to-end, regression, and smoke tests on modern web applications and, if necessary, in mobile browsers.
  • Bug Analysis: You identify, reproduce, and document software bugs in our YouTrack ticketing system and closely coordinate priorities with product owners and developers.
  • Quality Management: You maintain QA checklists, analyze quality metrics, and actively contribute your insights to retrospectives and continuous improvement processes.
  • Test Strategy: You will work with the team to develop sustainable test strategies and select appropriate methods, frameworks, and metrics for API, UI, and integration testing.
  • Test Automation: You will design, implement, and maintain—depending on the project—automated tests, such as for end-to-end scenarios, APIs, or performance tests.
  • Team Support: You will support our development teams through code reviews, pair testing, and technical discussions, and help foster a shared understanding of quality within the projects.
  • Reporting & Monitoring: You analyze test results, reduce the number of flaky tests, and create informative reports and dashboards for continuous monitoring of software quality.
  • Process Optimization: You’ll contribute your own ideas to further develop our QA processes and help us continuously improve our quality standards.

Your profile:

  • You have at least three years of professional experience in quality engineering or software testing on modern web projects.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of manual software testing and, ideally, some experience in setting up or further developing automated test procedures.
  • You are confident in using test management and test automation tools, as well as ticket systems such as YouTrack or similar applications.
  • You have a solid basic understanding of HTTP/REST, HTML, and CSS, and can read and understand source code written in common programming languages such as Java, PHP, or Python.
  • You are interested in further expanding test automation and are motivated to play an active role in shaping modern QA processes.
  • You work in a structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented manner and maintain a clear overview even when dealing with complex applications.
  • You excel at teamwork and communication, enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, and work closely with developers, product owners, and other project stakeholders.
  • You have business-level proficiency in German and very good written and spoken technical English

What we offer you:

  • Permanent, full-time position with flexible working hours, the option of a four-day workweek, and the ability to work remotely
  • Comprehensive mental health services in collaboration with an external partner
  • Personalized professional development budget and targeted development opportunities
  • A modern, open-concept office in the heart of Berlin—with plenty of space for discussion, networking, and collaboration
  • Diverse projects at a growing, internationally oriented company—with room for your own ideas and responsibility
  • A Structured Onboarding Process for a Quick and Successful Start
  • Employer-Sponsored Retirement Plans for Long-Term Financial Security
  • Access to attractive employee discounts through the corporate benefits platform
