Mobility

The mobility of people and goods has changed significantly over the last years. Reasons are changing population structures in rural areas, altered consumer behaviour or new ways of business communication. Digitalisation plays a significant role in this context, on the one hand as driver of specific developments and on the other hand as a platform for solutions of mobility problems. For regional development, it is important to plan traffic infrastructure while considering future developments and to address different needs.

aconium makes this its goal. We analyse the current situation and the regional potentials and develop effective mobility offers tailored to the regional conditions, even when it comes to implementing solutions for population groups that have hardly been mobile up to now. A central role here is played by bringing together country- and transport-specific expertise to use target group-specific, innovative offers that fit into the European legal framework. The use of geographic information systems (GIS), which can be used in cooperation projects to analyse spatial data and create scenarios for developing recommendations for action in programme development and crisis management, is helpful.
