More than 170 lighting experts took part in a series of webinars organizsd by the LUCIA project in autumn 2020 and learned about various aspects of public lighting. The documentation of the online seminars is now available.

Interested parties and specialist planners can find recordings, presentations and written summaries of the most important conclusions of the six online events on the LUCIA project website. In addition to presentations by various experts, each event also offered insights into the interim results of the LUCIA pilot projects and the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues. During the webinars, the following questions were discussed, among others

  • What role can light play in a “smart city” focused on people?
  • How can lighting master plans contribute to creating liveable urban spaces?
  • What does light pollution mean and what can we do to reduce it?
  • How can cities and municipalities develop new business models around smart lighting?
  • What are the advantages of multifunctional lighting technologies?
  • How will the mobility transition in cities and municipalities affect public lighting?
