ANGA COM is actually as much a part of the broadband industry as Cologne Cathedral. But due to the coronavirus, the trade fair on the Rhine will become an online congress this year. Tim Brauckmüller, Managing Partner of aconium GmbH, will moderate one of the central events on June 8, 2021.
“Fiber optic summit – cooperation and open access vs. superstructure?” – Brauckmüller poses this question to four experts from the broadband industry right at the start of ANGA COM DIGITAL, which runs from 8 to 10 June. Dr. Dido Blankenburg (Board Representative for Broadband Cooperation at Deutsche Telekom, Telekom Deutschland GmbH), Guido Eidmann (COO, Deutsche Glasfaser), Nelson Killius (CEO, M-net Telekommunikations GmbH) and Theo Weirich (Managing Director, wilhelm.tel GmbH) will be on the podium.
The fiber optic summit is thus one of five so-called summit events at the online congress. The “Broadband Summit – All FTTH or a technology mix with FTTB, cable and 5G?”, the “CEO Talk”, the “Media Summit – How many streaming platforms can the market handle?” and the “International Content Summit – Strategies to win the OTT Competition” are further core events. In total, participants will be able to watch more than 40 conference panels with 180 speakers and over 70 digital showrooms.
According to the organizers, ANGA COM DIGITAL is taking place for the first time using a new AI-supported digital platform. The complete program can be found here. The online congress replaces the physical ANGA COM this year due to the pandemic. This is considered one of the leading congress trade fairs for broadband, television and online in Europe with more than 500 exhibitors from 35 countries. In recent years, aconium GmbH has also presented its innovative concepts and ideas to around 20,000 visitors to the industry show. The next ANGA COM physical trade fair will take place in Cologne from May 10 to 12, 2022.
