Breitband Main-Kinzig GmbH uses the summertime for numerous construction starts for the fiber optic expansion in other parts of the district. This was also the case on July 18 in the Hessian municipality of Birstein, idyllically situated at the foot of the Vogelberg.
The initial ground-breaking ceremony for the entire project took place on 10.05.2022. It is one of the first infrastructure projects in the then new Grey Spots funding program. Over 50,000 new gigabit connections will be created for the Main-Kinzig district with the support of the federal and state governments. The federal funding amounts to 100 million euros. aconium GmbH is supporting the expansion project as the project sponsor.
