The Baltic Sea Region (BSR) funding programme opened its second call for applications on first of March 2016. In order to prepare and inform potential applicants, the Joint Secretariat invited project developers to an information seminar in Riga, Latvia on 16th and 17th March 2016.

aconium GmbH, which has already consulted and managed several projects within the BSR cooperation area, participated in this information seminar in order to receive up-to-date information regarding the application procedure and the expectations of the BSR programme authorities.

During the event, the staff of the Joint Secretariat presented the general features of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme, introduced the themes for cooperation and topics addressed in the second call for applications. Project developers had the opportunity to learn more about project budgeting and communication as well as the application procedure. Specific questions regarding individual projects were answered by the staff in three thematic corners (innovation, natural resources and transport) as well as during project consultations with an additional financial help desk.

The second call, which is open until 1st June 2016, invites applications in all three priorities: Priority 1 “Capacity for innovation”, Priority 2 “Management of natural resources” and Priority 3 “Sustainable transport”.

As the figure shows, all three priorities have a respectable amount for funding available for the second and third call.
