aconium with new highlights at the BREKO fiberdays 2025
This year, on April 2 and 3, 2025, the digital and fibre optic industry, local politics and administration will meet for the first time at the BREKO fiberdays at Messe Frankfurt am Main. Over 200 international exhibitors kicked off the extensive conference program yesterday with a large number of visitors.
aconium GmbH had two new highlights up its sleeve. In addition to a new exhibition stand, aconium presented a new event format in Hall 3.1: The AI Forum entitled “Infrastructure 4.0 – The AI dialog: Innovative AI solutions in practice”.

The trade fair was opened by Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus (Minister for Digitization and Innovation in Hesse), Norbert Westphal (President BREKO) and Dr. Stephan Albers (Managing Director BREKO) at the opening congress “With fiber optics into the digital future”. In the course of the current figures on the status of the Germany-wide fiber optic expansion, the participants looked confidently into the future of infrastructure expansion. Prof. Dr. Sinemus emphasized the importance of cooperation within the industry.

Innovative technology meets inviting atmosphere
aconium GmbH presented its new trade fair stand (G12-13) in Hall 3.1 – a combination of innovative technology and sustainable design. Even from a distance, the large, transparent LED exterior wall catches the eye, visually showcasing aconium’s diverse range of topics. Lively animations make this clear: We are focusing on digital transformation and the networking of regions.
Inside, technology is combined with comfort: visitors are invited to discover the expertise and services in the areas of broadband, mobile communications, infrastructure, energy, education and regional development at interactive stations such as multimedia touchscreens, a HoloBox and a multi-touch OLED system.
A particular crowd-puller: the interactive touchscreen table, which visitors can use to intuitively find out about current projects – from municipal heat planning to 5G campus networks and AI applications. We showcase our diversity and our creative drive through our projects, e.g. with TwinBy or the Rhineland-Palatinate Data Portal (DIP), but also “Munich Electrified” or RES Leader Region Spree-Neiße-Land.
New AI forum offers exclusive insights
The fiberdays offer an extensive, top-class congress and seminar program on a variety of stages. In addition to the West and East Open Space stages, panels, presentations and discussion rounds will take place on both days at the International Carrier Exchange, Green Plaza, Municipal Marketplace and on the Gigabit Campus. In 2025, the focus will be on open access, cooperation, the energy transition and the smart city.
The focus was not limited to the German market: European perspectives on FTTH, cloud infrastructures and technology trends were discussed at the International Carrier Exchange in particular.
aconium presented a new event format for the first time with the AI Forum at stand G18. The focus is on practical use cases and current developments relating to the use of artificial intelligence in the infrastructure sector.
