On 15 August, the Ministry of Energy, Infrastructure and Digitalization of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern hosted the 5th Broadband Forum in Rostock-Warnemünde – the long-awaited “class reunion”, as some participants called the first event after the corona-related break.
In two panels with a total of 16 presentations, experts from the digital economy and trade associations discussed current developments, challenges and solutions for broadband and mobile expansion in the state. The employees of our Schwerin regional office also presented aconium GmbH as part of the “Zukunftsreise” (a journey into the future) at the Hohe Düne Congress Center and answered questions about federal broadband funding.
Radio Mast Infrastructure Company presented for the first time
Managing Director Daniela Degen-Lesske presented Funkmasten-Infrastrukturgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH (FMI, Radio Mast Infrastrucutre Company), which was founded at the end of 2020, for the first time at the Broadband Forum. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Landgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH, FMI has set itself the goal of closing dead spots and creating infrastructural conditions for the further expansion of 5G in the state. aconium is currently advising the company on business development, market exploration and further tendering and planning for the construction of passive mobile communications infrastructures for the state.
Germany – a journey into the future on the Baltic Sea
In the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea marina, the talking robot “Yuki” did its rounds and joined the “rendezvous” with our telepresence robot and numerous guests at the Infomobil of aconium GmbH. Widar Wendt presented the quality seal for the infrastructural expansion of school data networks.
