The upcoming FIBERDAYS20, the fiber optic trade fair of the Federal Association of Broadband Communication (BREKO), has been postponed to mid-October 2020. The reason for the postponement is the increased spread of the coronavirus and corresponding feedback from customers, exhibitors and industry representatives.

BREKO issued a press release on Monday, March 2, 2020, stating that it was following the recommendation of the Federal Government’s crisis management team to take the principles of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) into account when assessing the risk of major events. “After intensive examination of the criteria of the Robert Koch Institute’s recommendations for action, we have come to the conclusion that we are forced to postpone the FIBERDAYS20 planned for March 5 and 6 in Wiesbaden to a later date, as many of the risk criteria listed there apply to our trade fair,” says Dr. Stephan Albers, Managing Director of the Federal Association of Broadband Communication (BREKO) and Managing Director of BREKO Servicegesellschaft GmbH (organizer of FIBERDAYS20). FIBERDAYS20 will not be canceled. BREKO intends to postpone the trade fair to mid-October 2020. The final date will be announced shortly.
