On December 12, 2022, the partners in the Interreg NorthSea Region project Futures by Design came together for the last time in the Dutch city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) to review the project’s successes over the past four years and to coordinate the final steps until the upcoming project conclusion in January 2023. Organized as a hybrid event, it was also possible for some remote project partners to participate in the meeting online.
The host and venue for the meeting was Tilburg University – Jheronimus Academy of Data Science, JADS for short, one of the six Dutch project partners. JADS is the result of a collaboration between two Dutch universities (Tilburg/TU Eindhoven) and brings together top academics to promote education in the field of data science. By working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially start-ups, and combining data science with expertise, sustainable synergies are created in the region.
As a data expert, JADS has developed various tools and an online hub as part of Futures by Design as a virtual contact point and source of information to help SMEs integrate data-based work into their everyday lives. The online hub contains the tools as well as other useful information for SMEs on the topics of data and digitalization, e.g. publications on exciting future topics such as artificial intelligence. In addition to the content-related results and the further organizational procedure, the continuation of the project idea after the end of the project term was also discussed with all partners. The aconium GmbH project team will continue to act as a point of contact and intermediary for interested SMEs in the future and provide them with the best possible support for their data and digitalization needs. If you are a small or medium-sized enterprise and would like to find out more about the project content of “Futures by Design”, please visit the project website www.northsearegion.eu/fbd/ or contact the aconium GmbH project team at fbd@aconium.eu.
