The funding competition “Municipal scaling of digital mobility in Baden-Württemberg” of the Strategy Dialogue Automotive Industry Baden-Württemberg and the digitalization strategy digital@bw started on 27 October 2021.
The Baden-Württemberg Automotive Industry Strategy Dialogue and the state government’s digital@bw digitalization strategy are launching the “Municipal scaling of digital mobility in Baden-Württemberg” funding competition. The aim of the competition is to contribute to the establishment of state-wide digital mobility in the municipalities. The funding volume amounts to 600,000 euros.
The InKoMo 4.0 office, managed by aconium GmbH under the direction of Städtetag Baden-Württemberg, supports the municipalities in participating in the funding competition. The digitalization of the mobility sector offers a great deal of potential for society and the economy. In the automotive location of Baden-Württemberg, for example, e-vehicles contribute to emission-free, improved air quality. In addition, the digitalization of mobility services enables demand-oriented service design, which contributes to an increase in the quality of life in both urban and rural areas. In Baden-Württemberg, there are already a number of solutions for the digitalization of the mobility sector. In order to exploit this innovation potential, successful cooperation is required between a wide range of players from politics, administration, business, science and civil society.
The funding competition “Municipal scaling of digital mobility in Baden-Württemberg” therefore aims to network the players and position the solutions already developed in the mobility industry on the market via municipalities, thereby strengthening the location in the long term. The funding competition is therefore primarily aimed at local authorities. They not only act as “intermediaries” for local concerns, but also make a decisive contribution to shaping digital mobility. In order to support municipalities in the implementation of these tasks, the funding competition aims to initiate innovation partnerships between municipalities and players in the mobility industry. The InKoMo 4.0 office supports the municipalities in this process.
The object of the funding competition “Municipal scaling of digital mobility in Baden-Württemberg” is correspondingly broad. In addition to scaling and the associated economic and technological aspects, the topics of environmental and climate protection, social inclusion and the creation of equal living conditions in rural and urban areas are covered. Districts, cities and municipalities are therefore called upon to join forces and establish digital mobility solutions together with players from the mobility industry. The focus of the funding competition is on the rapid advancement of projects in line with the vision of “Baden-Württemberg becoming the mobility state of the future”. Overall, the funding competition is divided into two evaluation stages. The deadline for submitting application documents for the first evaluation stage is January 31, 2022. In the second evaluation stage, applicants have until April 29, 2022 to submit a detailed implementation concept. Further information can be found at https://digital-bw.de/foerderung-mobilitaet
