On March 10, 2017, Günter Frenz, municipal policy consultant at aconium GmbH, and Nils Mischorr, broadband consultant at the Wiesbaden branch of aconium GmbH, took part in the ground-breaking ceremony in Nüsttal-Haselstein near Fulda.
Berthold Vogt (head of the municipality), Christof Erb (district coordinator for broadband expansion), Günther Frenz (for aconium GmbH as the project sponsor of the federal broadband funding program) dug in ceremoniously and in great anticipation of connecting the municipality to a fast digital future, Michael Brand (Member of the German Bundestag), Marion Frohnapfel (Mayor of Nüsttal), District Administrator Bernd Woide, Mr. Bothe (representative of the telecommunications company), Georg Matzner (Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development) symbolically drove the spade into the sand.
Nüsttal-Haselstein is one of 13 expansion clusters in the district of Fulda that will be supplied with high-speed Internet in the future. The project is supported by the federal funding program for broadband expansion. By the end of 2017, citizens and businesses will be able to enjoy a connection to high-speed internet.
