The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the fiber-optic network took place today in Löffingen, located in the Black Forest. As part of the project, a total of 12 kilometers of new fiber optic lines will be laid. This will provide local households and businesses with reliable connection speeds of at least 50 Mbit/s in the future.

Funding for the project comes from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, with aconium GmbH acting as the project sponsor. A total of almost 4 billion euros in federal funding is available to promote broadband expansion in a technology-neutral manner.
