The study Corporate Responsibility in the Public Sector (CR study for short) provides an overview of corporate sustainability activities within the public sector in Germany. To this end, it examines regulation, procurement and the implementation of CR strategies within public companies.

The CR study focuses on three areas: Firstly, the current legal regulations on corporate responsibility (CR) are addressed. The second step discusses corporate responsibility in the context of public procurement. At the third level, the study looks at the implementation of CR strategies within public companies. Furthermore, various popular guidelines, seals and certificates are presented which companies and other institutions can use as a guide when implementing sustainability aspects. The overall view of all areas results in a general overview of the significance of the public sector for the spread of corporate responsibility in Germany.

Johannes Feldmann, COO of aconium GmbH, recently presented the CR study as part of his lecture “Corporate responsibility – why ideologues are the better entrepreneurs” at the first Hessian Innovation Congress. The event in Frankfurt am Main was organized by Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH(HTAI) on behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Economics. Business and technology experts discussed Hesse’s innovation culture with future analysts. In addition, renowned speakers provided information on the latest developments in the sectors.
