Data Opener Central Europe
All over Europe, public and private institutions are collecting data that should be freely accessible as open data and usable for citizens and companies. However, the public sector often still lacks an understanding of the benefits of this treasure trove of data.

There is also a lack of skills to use and exploit these benefits, e.g. by updating data regularly or in real time. Through the establishment of local Open Data Hubs, the DoorCE project will support the project partners from seven Central European countries in providing high-quality, dynamic data that is then accessible to all citizens via innovative digital services. The project partners will build knowledge and capacity in the field of open data, embed this topic in their structures and support innovators, small businesses and public administration in using data more efficiently through newly developed, user-friendly tools for digitization and data management. A toolbox offers concrete organizational assistance as well as a technical solution that can also be used by non-experts (no/low-code approach).
Objectives
The aim of DoorCE is to make municipalities, districts and regions fit for dealing with open data. To this end, an open data package is being developed for the public sector. This includes a strategy for establishing the topic of open data in the administration as well as a toolbox for the provision and use (citizens, business) of open data with corresponding instructions and training.
