The Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport (SMWA) is awarding the Saxon Digital Prize for the second time. Under the motto “Digital solutions in the field of raw materials and energy”, exemplary achievements are being sought that accelerate the digital transformation in the Free State of Saxony and provide impetus for the use of digital solutions through the application of modern, innovative technologies.
The Saxon Digital Prize 2024 will be awarded in a total of three different categories. The “Business” category is intended to recognize entrepreneurial achievements that demonstrate a high degree of innovation and make a positive contribution to the digital transformation. The “Society” category is aimed at innovative, digital solutions that create specific added value for society. In the “Open Source” category, special attention is paid to innovations based on open source solutions. Within the categories, the focus is on “Digital solutions in the field of raw materials and energy”, i.e. sustainable raw material and energy extraction, reliable energy supply, sustainable and efficient energy management and systems. The focus includes numerous topics such as mobility, batteries and storage, smart grids and control systems, circular economy, water/wastewater, hydrogen and other future-oriented energy sources. Anyone with a suitable project and their (company) headquarters in the Free State of Saxony can submit an application for the Saxon Digital Prize 2024. Entries can be submitted until December 15, 2023, 10:00 a.m., via the participation portal of the Free State of Saxony is possible. The “Saxon Digital Prize” is endowed with a total of up to 165,000 euros.
