On Thursday, June 30, 2022, the board of the Local Action Group (LAG) Flechtinger Höhenzug und Drömling, which was newly founded in 2021, will present the local development strategy for the LAG region. The official presentation of the final draft will be celebrated at the Glück-Auf Stadium in Hötensleben.
The strategy was developed in a participatory process as the basis for participation in the competition to select LEADER/CLLD areas as part of the “LEADER” funding program in Saxony-Anhalt in the EU funding period 2023 to 2027. In line with the objectives of the umbrella regulation of the European Structural and Investment Funds and the state-specific objectives, it was drawn up by aconium GmbH in collaboration with the client and local stakeholders as part of a broad, intensive participation process.
The public kick-off event for the project took place on 13.04.2022 in the presence of Dr. Franziska Kersten, Member of the German Bundestag, Karolin Braunsberger-Reinhold, Member of the European Parliament, and many other guests. In the months that followed, various participation formats were used to define the key potential and needs of and for the region and the criteria for the projects to be funded in the future. This process is now culminating in the crowning finale of the project, i.e. the presentation of this process summarized in a strategy paper and the presentation of the results and findings identified. If the strategy is successfully adopted, it will be submitted to the state of Saxony-Anhalt in August. With the strategy developed, a further foundation stone has been laid for a shared vision for the future of the region between Drömling and Hohe Börde.
