From September to the end of November 2022, the Regional Forum provided information on current topics and trends in regional development as well as funding opportunities for municipalities. The aim of the series is to address future topics, provide impetus together with experts from the field and provide information on the potential for sustainable regional development. The Regional Forum thus creates an information platform for the exchange of individual options for action and solutions for municipalities and regions.
On 23.11.2022, the third regional forum took place on the topic of “Municipal heat transition – heat management planning as a building block for a sustainable heat supply”. The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Klaus Vajen (University of Kassel), who addressed the importance of the heating market for the energy transition in his presentation. Following on from this, Dr. Thorsten Ebert (Qoncept Energy GmbH) presented instruments that are available for the practical implementation of heat management planning. Finally, suitable funding programs for the development and implementation of measures to shape the heat transition were presented.
The following events took place in addition to the topic of “Municipal heat transition”:
- “Targeted infrastructure development: Mobile radio monitoring and measurement”, 21.09.2022
- “Smart regions: Shaping the rural regions of tomorrow today”, 26.10.2022
The series of events met with a positive response and attracted numerous interested parties. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their commitment and dedication.
Next year, the regional forum will start with the topic “Transportation of the future – developing targeted mobility concepts”. Further dates for future regional forums will follow.
