In 2017, the European Commission launched the WiFi4EU funding initiative. Between November 2018 and November 2019, there were three calls in which municipalities could apply for a voucher. The infographic shows the program process in ten individual steps. The core elements of the municipalities’ implementation strategy are reduced to the most essential facts. This graphic can serve as a checklist for many small municipalities when implementing their project step by step.
Statistical overview of the three calls to date and outlook
In 2017, the European Commission launched the WiFi4EU funding initiative. Between November 2018 and November 2019, there were three calls in which municipalities could apply for a voucher. An infographic was created showing the three calls, the number of German voucher winners and the distribution across the individual federal states. The graphic also provides an outlook on the last call for the program and an insight into the next EU funding period from 2021 to 2027.
