Brandenburg: “Strengthening the digital fitness of senior citizens” competition
The digitalization of everyday offers and services has become increasingly important in recent years, particularly due to the coronavirus pandemic, and many everyday activities have been transferred to digital processes. However, older people who previously had no direct connection to online use or smart gadgets and devices have often been left behind and excluded from digital participation. The resulting gap between the increasing need to use digital media and the corresponding digital skills of older people is large and threatens to widen. This makes it all the more important to empower older people for the accelerated digital transformation.
For this reason, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and Consumer Protection (MSGIV) and the Healthy Older Alliance, which is coordinated by the Health Goals Office in the state of Brandenburg under the auspices of Gesundheit Berlin-Brandenburg, are calling for the competition “Strengthening the digital fitness of senior citizens in the state of Brandenburg”. All active players and offers in the state of Brandenburg are invited to participate with their offers to strengthen the media skills of older people. The application deadline for the submission of offers ended on August 21, 2022. The winning projects will be awarded on October 20, 2022 by Minister Ursula Nonnemacher. Further information on how to take part can be found on the Brandenburg Digital Agency website.
