Deputy Head of IT (m/f/d)
We are looking for a Deputy Head of IT for our Berlin office with immediate effect. This is basically a position with a 40-hour week. For our team of experts, we are looking for bright minds with fresh ideas who enjoy helping to shape the future and thus contribute to our success.
Your area of responsibility:
- Support in the management of a team of system and network administrators with the tasks of administration, monitoring and further development of the company’s IT systems (servers, fixed and mobile workstations, video conferencing and IP telephony)
- Coordination of the tasks of the IT team and the contracted service providers, including budget planning, life cycle management, IT purchasing, inventory, documentation and knowledge transfer
- Sustainable and secure further development of systems and networks in terms of data protection and data security, including certification in accordance with ISO 9001, 27001 and BSI basic protection
What you bring with you:
- Several years of professional experience in the IT environment and initial management experience of IT teams
- IT skills:
- Implementation of network requirements including segmentation using VLANs and/or physical network segmentation
- Installing, securing and maintaining WLANs
- Professional support for user requirements
- Planning, installation and management of encryption solutions including hard disk encryption
- Administration of e-mail products and servers, security technologies, including IP tables and network protocols (SSL, TLS, SSH, HTTPS and VPN)
- Administration and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers
- IT project management, including planning and implementation of new technologies
- File permission concepts (file permissions and user permissions) for various operating systems (Windows, Linux and Apple)
- Development and maintenance of effective backup solutions and strategies
- Development of log file management strategies
- Good technical documentation skills
- Interest in new technologies and project work
- A pronounced ability to find solutions
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
