Digital Summit 2023
The Digital Summit 2023 will take place in Jena on November 20 and 21. And with it the market of digital possibilities. That means: over 50 exhibitors presented their work on current research. And over 100 exciting lectures & workshops provided information on the topics of digitalization and digital transformation.
aconium presented a measuring bike designed for collecting geoinformation data, which – designed as an electric cargo bike and equipped with measuring equipment – represents a resource-saving and innovative solution for access zones that conventional measuring vehicles cannot reach. For the first time, it represents a sustainable way of collecting environmental data in an environmentally friendly way, not just on narrow paths and in pedestrian zones, for example. In principle, all paths and roads (with the exception of pure highways and freeways) can be surveyed in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. Additional data can also be collected, such as the condition of the path using combined vibration sensors. In this way, it helps to accelerate the expansion of the digital infrastructure and enables a sustainable digital transformation through its environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
Furthermore, aconium GmbH exhibited a ground penetrating radar measuring device together with a tablet with a presentation and picture gallery. Particularly in the absence of up-to-date documentation (pipeline register), it is essential to locate obstacles such as underground telecommunications and power lines, (waste) water and gas pipes using ground penetrating radar and subsequent evaluation of the measurement results before construction work begins. This prevents damage to existing infrastructure during civil engineering work and avoids time-consuming and costly repairs. The ground penetrating radar measuring device thus enables a resilient digital transformation by means of damage-free expansion of fiber optic network infrastructure through early detection of existing underground infrastructure.

Digital state

Digital State 2023 – STATE IN CONVERSION: The administration of tomorrow is being created here
When we think about the administration of tomorrow, we have a general idea: it should be faster, more user-friendly and, above all, more digital. When we think about how we can modernize the state and administration, some people are already tearing their hair out. But it is by no means an airport that is to be built – it is more extensive: the basis of politics and society. This is not something that can be done overnight and greenfield sites are not so easily accessible, unless we are in the metaverse. Is the state under reconstruction a permanent construction site?
It is definitely a building site where something new is being created. Numerous motivated managers and public administration employees have already drawn up construction plans and are willing to shape this transformation. That’s a good thing, it takes architects as well as craftsmen to create the administration of tomorrow. It needs committed people who immediately put on their helmets and pick up their tools, as well as material procurers and fire safety officers. Everyone can and should participate, show their motivation, express their skepticism – otherwise the solution would be simple-minded and not very resilient. And the permanent construction site? It has the positive quality that digitalization is never finished – so modernization is always ongoing.
For this reason, we invite you to the Digital State 2023 under the motto: “State in transition – the administration of tomorrow is being created here”. You too can help shape the transformation. As part of the extensive specialist forums, a variety of topics will be explored in depth in order to create the greatest possible transparency on building law and progress, green spaces and demolition information. The accompanying trade exhibition and various side events also offer the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on construction plans for digital administration and to establish and maintain networks.

Bavarian Broadband Forum

Amberg, Germany
13.10.2022
When it comes to providing the Bavarian population with sufficient capacity for high-speed Internet, the local authorities here are facing huge financial, technical and legal challenges. At the same time, they have to manage their citizens’ money carefully. Although the provision of fast Internet is still not a central task of public services, it is an essential location factor. Only through nationwide high-bit-rate broadband access can real competition strengthen Bavaria as a business location in general. It is the duty of municipal decision-makers to find the best solution for this and to secure funding. At the Bavarian Broadband Forum, you came into contact with the relevant contact persons.
If the pandemic has shown one thing, it is that personal contact and human interaction cannot be digitized. What counts are encounters, shared experiences and personal exchanges. That’s what makes us human – both privately and professionally.
Digital administration Rhineland-Palatinate

Digital administration Rhineland-Palatinate
Shaping the years of change – employees and authorities on the way to the 4.0 age
The digital transformation is in full swing. This transformation process has been shaping the working environment of most employees in the administration of the state and local authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate for years – with increasing momentum. The effects of the coronavirus pandemic have underlined the importance of digital processes and procedures and triggered an additional innovation boost. This applies both to the front end, i.e. the digital face of the administration to citizens and companies, and to the work processes in the authorities. This simultaneous development presents employees and authorities with many challenges, but also offers enormous potential to improve the provision of government services and raise them to a new level in the coming years.
The “Digital Administration Rhineland-Palatinate” congress aims to provide a platform to promote professional exchange and networking on the diverse and multifaceted topics and challenges across organizations.

05.09.2022
A congress on the digitization of the administrations of the northern German federal states under the patronage of State Secretary Ina-Maria Ulbrich, Ministry of the Interior, Building and Digitization of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
Digital change is at the top of the public administration’s list of priorities. The consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and the implementation of the Online Access Act have provided a significant boost to digitalization. A lot has been done and a lot of money has been invested to make administration more accessible at any time and from anywhere. Paper forms have been replaced by online applications and platforms such as the MV-Serviceportal have been created in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. And last but not least, the conditions have been created for public administration employees to work with mobile technology.
The Nordl@nder Congress created a space for discussion and innovation in which ideas and experiences could be exchanged. As a platform and information hub, the event contributed to advancing digital administration and sustainable cultural change in the state and municipalities. Participants had the opportunity to get involved in the diverse discussions, maintain and expand networks and find out about various products and services at the accompanying exhibition.

Germany – a journey into the future

Terms such as fiber optics, 5G and electromobility have long been part of our everyday language. But how is technological progress actually changing people’s everyday lives? Whether telemedicine, car sharing, digital retail platforms or digital services in town halls and online teaching in schools – none of this would be possible without the expansion of the digital infrastructure towards a sustainable fiber optic architecture.
As an implementer of such infrastructure projects, aconium GmbH wants to show what the future has in store if everyone, citizens and stakeholders, pull together. The information tour is aimed at people in the regions as well as those responsible in politics and administration.
Together with the municipalities, innovative local projects are presented and the opportunities of the digital transformation are made tangible for local residents.
