Event tip: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern invites you to NØRD 2021

Digital participation, regional resilience and a look at the start-up scene and start-ups in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are just some of the topics covered at the NØRD 2021 digital congress, which is being organized by the state government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as a major online event from 31 May to 14 June. After the first NØRD in 2019, which was still conceived as a two-day congress, the new edition has now not only been greatly expanded in terms of time, but also thematically broader in order to do justice to the entire spectrum of the dynamically growing digitization scene in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Networking with one another, providing new impetus and initiating innovative processes – these are the goals of the largest nationwide digitalization conference, which not only wants to be understood as a pure topic platform, but also wants to appeal to interested newcomers and career changers in addition to established players. The interactive event format will give visitors to the virtual marketplace consisting of events, workshops and lecture series the opportunity to share experiences, network and engage in a lively exchange.

NØRD 2021 kicks off on May 31 with the “Night of Inspiration”. The kick-off event will look back on the “digital milestones” achieved over the last two years, but also present outlooks and ideas that will be fleshed out and brought to life in the presentations by Minister President Manuela Schwesig and Matthias Horx, Director of the Zukunftsinstitut. Other highlights of the fourteen-day program include the NØRD Start-up Arena on 3 June and the theme day “The Digital Village: cleverly LIVING together” on 8 June.
