Evaluation of the Bavarian state development funding guideline

Project content

Regional management serves to promote and ensure equal living and working conditions throughout Bavaria. The regional managers have an important networking function in the regions and realize joint project ideas with the local partners in order to advance their own region according to its strengths and specific challenges (“bottom-up principle”).

With the aim of supporting this process and providing new impetus for development through innovative ideas, funding for regional management is offered throughout Bavaria in the form of project funding based on the Förderrichtlinie Landesentwicklung (FöRLa). Funding is provided for so-called regional initiatives that implement projects in the five fields of action of demographic change, competitiveness, settlement development, regional identity and climate change and are generally set up at district level.

Goals

In order to further develop the current FöRLa, it is being evaluated by aconium GmbH. On behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, aconium GmbH is conducting a study to assess the impact and effectiveness of the support services for the regions and thus the overall success of the current FöRLa from a regional development perspective.

Tasks of aconium GmbH

The aconium is responsible for overall project management and reporting as well as for carrying out individual analyses of the regional initiatives and developing perspectives and specific recommendations for regional initiatives with a view to the further development of the FöRLa.
