E-Bike Paradise Harz Mountains – Braunschweig Region – Eastphalia

The Project

The transnational cooperation project “E-Bike Paradise”, in which regions from Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony and Austria work together, aims to promote e-bike tourism in the Harz Mountains and Harz foothills. For this purpose, among other things, pleasure routes are to be developed which connect adventure places and regional producers with each other. The project partners will set up an e-bike infrastructure in the participating regions. This includes the development of special service offers, a joint booking system and portal as well as a concept for the establishment of necessary e-bike rental, service and charging stations at the participating companies. As part of a marketing strategy, products will be developed to make the routes and offers known. In the project, the positive experiences gained with the use of e-bikes in the Austrian LEADER region “südburgenlandplus” will be used to establish a comparable offer in the Harz Mountains and thus improve the tourism region as a whole. In return, the positive insights gained in the Harz Mountains from the implementation of the “Harzer Wandernadel” (Harz hiking needle) will be implemented in southern Burgenland in order to prepare the introduction of a “cyclist needle”. aconium is accompanying the project and, in addition to general project management activities, will organise events and training courses as well as public relations work. This includes the moderation of the knowledge transfer between the stakeholders from Germany and Austria and the support of the communication strategy at national and transnational level.
