Smart Cities and Regions – Roadshow

The project

With the aim of making Bavarian municipalities fit for the digital transformation and providing them with the best possible support in their digital projects, the “Smart Cities & Regions” platform of the Zentrum.Digitalisierung Bayern (ZD.B) together with aconium held a series of workshops on the topic of “Smart Cities and Regions”. In March 2021, selected multipliers from the regions of Franconia, Swabia, Lower Bavaria and Upper Palatinate as well as Upper Bavaria came together for four virtual workshops. The current state of digitization in the Bavarian municipalities was recorded and suitable offers that could effectively promote the digital development of the regions were discussed. In virtual, moderated small groups, relevant regional actors, implementation examples and initiatives were collected and needs-based solutions to the challenges of digitization were discussed. The knowledge gained was recorded in a white paper and made available to the ZD.B for submission to ministries and relevant institutions.

Goals

The aim of the series of workshops was to better get to know the status quo of digitization in Bavarian municipalities and their challenges and needs in this context. These results serve to formulate and create needs-based digital offers, networking options and recommendations for action for political decision-makers in the future.

aconium responsibilities

Throughout the project, the aconium took on the conception, planning, implementation, moderation and reporting of results of the workshop series. In addition, the invitation management and public relations for the events were implemented.
