During the coronavirus crisis, many educational institutions faced a double challenge: not only did they have to implement new pedagogical concepts for distance learning, they also had to provide the necessary technical systems and processes – all the while keeping up the day-to-day business of teaching. But although this often worked very well – despite all the criticism – it was not the much hoped-for digitalization boost, writes Tim Brauckmüller, Managing Director of aconium, in the new Jungle Guide 2021 (available free of charge).
Rather, it showed how necessary and overdue the digitization of education was: “Now it is a matter of making the experience gained during the crisis usable at all levels together with sustainable technical infrastructures for the future.” With the Digital Education Competence Center, aconium provides school authorities with far-sighted and future-proof support for funding advice, project management and training before and after submitting applications as part of the DigitalPakt Schule.
