On 10.11.2020, the annual business meeting – the Promotiedagen – took place in the Netherlands. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, an exclusively virtual programme was designed and the integrated trade fair was broadcast live online.
Overall, the event was well attended with around 1,500 online participants. The virtual exhibition stands and presentations offered visitors the opportunity to get in direct contact with the exhibitors, either by message or video chat. As a result, more than 2,500 one-on-one meetings took place between interested visitors and companies as well as with exhibitors throughout the event. One highlight of the event was the so-called “networking carousel”, in which participants were assigned different video chat partners every 5 minutes, which in turn resulted in interesting contacts for potential collaboration.
aconium was represented as an exhibitor with the Interreg North Sea Region project “Futures By Design” at the Promotiedagen, with the focus on the project region of Northwest Germany, which was represented by the two partners aconium and the University of Groningen North West Germany (UGNWG). The “Futures By Design” project supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the North Sea region using various digital tools to review and improve their knowledge and skills in relation to data-based work. The aim is to identify new solutions and implement innovative processes in the companies.
Interested parties also had the opportunity to find out about other areas of work at aconium GmbH, such as the future-oriented topic areas of “Smart Regions”. Our Smart Regions team supports municipalities in the development and implementation of smart city and smart region strategies.
