On 14 June 2018, a workshop on “Funding requirements and payment modalities in the federal funding program” was held at aconium’s regional office for Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia). The agency is responsible for the project management of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). Representatives of eight grant recipients from the district of Börde (Saxony-Anhalt) and the city of Großenhain (Saxony) came to Leipzig to find out about the procedure for applying for funding and the required documentation. The participants took the opportunity to ask the project sponsor questions and exchange information on the current status of their projects in the funding process. The workshop was led by Uwe Höhne and Carolin Stangohr. They presented the special features of the “economic viability gap model” and “operator model” funding procedures. The explanations on the topic of stockpiling materials were particularly well received. The information on the required information and communication measures and on documentation was also of great interest. The representatives of the project sponsor were able to answer many detailed questions on the proper preparation of photo documentation as part of the interim verification. Due to the great response, further workshops for grant recipients on the subject of “funding applications” are planned for the near future.
