On February 20, 2018, another workshop for funding recipients in the federal broadband funding program took place at the northern location of aconium GmbH, the project management agency of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
Representatives from eight districts came to Osterholz-Scharmbeck to find out more about the selection process and funding applications. It was also an opportunity for the funding recipients to ask the project sponsor questions about their individual status in the funding process. After the welcoming address, Matthias Schulze-Mantei (aconium GmbH, North site) led through the individual topics.
In addition to the selection and disbursement procedure as part of the federal broadband funding program, Schulze-Mantei also discussed the publicity obligations. Other topics included construction supervision and technical project management. For the grant recipients whose projects are implemented using the so-called ‘operator model’, the topic of purchasing materials in advance was of particular interest.
Due to the consistently positive response, not only the North site but also other branches of aconium GmbH will be offering further workshops for grant recipients in the near future.
