In accordance with the uniform material concept and the specifications for the dimensioning of passive infrastructure as part of the subsidized broadband expansion (current version of 02.04.2019, but also in previous versions), the dimensioning and laying of new empty conduits as well as the construction of distribution facilities, shafts and feeds must be carried out in such a way that the subsequent expansion of the implemented infrastructure is also guaranteed on the basis of this measure. A later expansion of the network is conceivable, for example, if subscribers who are already supplied with 30 Mbit/s or more and are located along the subsidized routes are subsequently connected. In order to prepare for a later expansion to develop subscribers already supplied, a so-called advance can be made on the basis of reserve capacities. This involves laying reserve capacity in excess of the minimum requirements of the federal government’s material concept. This expenditure is eligible for funding. The future development can be prepared to the extent that a sleeve is laid at the property boundary or even on the property. Expenditure on civil engineering work and materials is eligible up to the specified socket. The construction of house connections is not permitted.
