Since 2022, the state of Baden-Württemberg has been funding a total of 38 e-government coordinators in the districts and municipal state associations. These represent an important building block in the implementation of the Online Access Act (OZG) at state level, in the introduction and support of electronic files and in the use of the e-government platform “service-bw“. As important multipliers, they promote the exchange between the respective responsible municipal departments and, as central points of contact, they provide sustainable and targeted support to the towns and municipalities in the district in the digitization of administration.
The duration of the funding program was previously limited to a maximum of two years. The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior has now extended the funding program in agreement with the municipal state associations. Beyond the originally planned period, the e-government coordinators will now continue to receive funding until June 30, 2025 in order to further promote the implementation of administrative services in the state in a targeted manner.
