Digitalization is fast-moving, dynamic and complex. In order to react flexibly to it, digital expertise is required. This includes knowledge of digital infrastructures as well as the development of comprehensive eGovernment. The digitalization experts at aconium GmbH impart the necessary know-how and experience in a variety of training formats such as e-learning and training courses.
Education as an Opportunity
A rethink is required in the education sector – changes in media use, digital learning opportunities, learning independent of time and place, new requirements for young professionals and employees are changing the demands on the equipment of educational institutions and the pedagogical resources and methods of teachers.
This also involves the digitalization of schools, which benefit considerably from fast and reliable Internet access for educational and administrative purposes.
It is very important to us to promote digital education and make appropriate recommendations for action to those involved in education policy. This is why aconium GmbH is a member of the D21 initiative. Within this framework, for example, a study on the status of digital media education in German schools was created.
However, universities are also facing new challenges in terms of the quality and specialization of their educational offerings. New learning and teaching methods are being developed and implemented in projects such as Colibri and Epic in the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. As a partner in these projects, we strive to improve the link between teaching and practice, as the demand for highly qualified employees continues to rise, as do students’ expectations of learning locations and learning quality.
In an interregional, European and international context, competitiveness is one of the most important drivers for new educational opportunities. What counts here is expert knowledge, but also soft skills and methodological confidence. As a partner for universities, associations and industry, we face up to these challenges and develop solutions for sustainable and interdisciplinary cooperation, for example by setting up innovation centers that are closely linked to universities. The promotion of innovative teaching approaches, a stronger orientation of qualifications towards the job market and everyday working life and a virtual and physical exchange of students are among the results we have already achieved.

Gigabit for all
As part of the federal broadband funding we accompany you step-by-step in the construction of secure and sustainable infrastructure with the aim of achieving nationwide availability of fast Internet throughout Germany. We will be happy to advise you on the correct application procedure and inform you about Financing options for broadband projects (also specifically in the operator model or economic gap model). With our e-learning courses, we offer you training at different levels exactly when you need it.

Interactive self-study training courses on digital transformation for the public sector and administration: information security, data protection, community planning, broadband and mobile communications basics and more. Our web-based training courses are always up-to-date, practical and can be used flexibly.
Smart Regions
Municipalities must become smart! We take a strategic, multidisciplinary and flexible approach to this. We rely on the networking of our many experts from a wide range of specialist areas so that municipalities can be supported holistically in their development towards smart cities. Infrastructures
Together with cooperation partners, we offer a range of training courses and certifications in the areas of broadband communication, mobile communications technology and construction site safety. Special focus is placed on the consideration of legal principles as well as the reference to practical implementation. The offer is aimed at those involved in civil engineering and network technology from public companies.
Understanding of Technology
The aim of these courses is to equip administrative staff who are to plan the next steps in digitalization and make decisions on implementation with the necessary technical skills. They need a technical understanding and the vocabulary to formulate tenders and to be able to weigh up offers against each other.
Digital Teaching
The Competence Center for Digital Education (“Kompetenzzentum Digitale Bildung” (KDB)) has made it its mission to provide school authorities, schools and educational institutions with a structured introduction to digital education: In addition to implementing the DigitalPakt Schools, the focus is on further and advanced training for lecturers. The KDB is an initiative of aconium GmbH.
Organization
These courses prepare administrative employees in project management roles for the “digitalization of the administrative authority”. The courses cover planning and organizational topics as well as team leadership skills and change management skills.
Federal Funding for Gigabit
aconium has developed a comprehensive range of seminars to prepare applicants, funding recipients and consulting companies for the federal funding programme Gigabit in funding area B and to support them in all phases of implementation. As part of this funding program, the BMDV provides the offer free of charge.
Room Rental
The success of an event depends crucially on the premises in which it takes place – as an organizer and venue for educational events, we are well aware of this. We are aware of the privilege of being able to use the rooms of the completely renovated and modernly equipped academy in the historic Stellwerk Nordbahnhof in Berlin Mitte. We welcome you to network at symposia, working group meetings or conferences.
As an educational institution, we are therefore happy to support you in the planning and implementation of your events: be it training courses, seminars, specialist conferences or team events. On request, we can provide you with our light-flooded, modular event rooms and their high-quality conference technology.
