The LUCIA factsheets on sustainable and smart urban lighting summarize 15 economic, social and technological aspects that are of key importance for municipal lighting managers and decision makers. The factsheets on economic efficiency address issues such as how economic development and smart city lighting can be combined or how a life cycle approach can be applied to investments in smart city lighting. Light pollution, vandalism and cooperation with the private sector are some of the topics covered in the LUCIA factsheets on social acceptance. The technology factsheets describe, among other things, what needs to be considered when planning lighting control systems, how the reliability of lighting systems can be improved or why verification measurements are necessary. All 15 factsheets are available for download on the LUCIA project website.
